The Fore Hope / Guy Derr Memorial Adaptive Tournament was held on Friday, August 24th at Safari Golf Club! “Where Fore Hope participants, family and community partners share their love of golf.” It was a BEAUTIFUL day for golf! Everyone enjoyed themselves!

Our tournament offers a variety of therapeutic benefits including socialization, participation and competition not only for our golfers with disabilities but for family members and friends as well. This tournament is named after Guy Derr, for he was the reason and catalyst for the Fore Hope organization.

Players are participants of Fore Hope from all across the state that have a disability and their able bodied partners. This tournament gives all the chance to compete in an 8-hole golf event and this unique outing is the only one of its kind in central Ohio.

2012 First Place Team players were Jim Canney, Don Hawkins, Bill Mead and Emily Mead. Second Place Team players were Luke Edelbrock, Elaine Sims, Mary Beth Moore and Kelly Baytos.
